Welcome to TOUN COMMUNITY CENTER the orphanage school for poor, street children and orphans in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia.

Please let me introduce my self ... Empire during the Khmer Rouge 1970 to 1975 is controled by Non Nol's government, after Mr. Non Nol were destroyed by Pol Pot to control in Cambodia during 1975 until 1979. Mr. Pol Pot and his troops gathered all the people in this town and forced them into the labor struggle in the countryside, no food and very hard work , almost 3,000,000 people were killed during this period, in other words, about a quarter of the population as a whole ! On January 7, 1979, Vietnamese and Cambodian troops could help people who had lived through the regime of Pol Pot's Cambodia.

About my history ...In 1982 until 1997 I joined to work for the Cambodian army, where (Q101) (T6 & S 92) to help the poor people in my country. It was very long and boring with my job as army and then I decided to stop by my self and were not retired. In 1997 until 1999 I was very happy to live with my family and I wanted e to help the poorest people, also I created an orphanage Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) the ( PACDOC ) PREAHATIT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION for poor, street children and orphans in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Now we are starting a new education project is TOUN COMMUNITY CENTER is located at Lolie Temple 9 kms from Siem Reap on National Road 6A left Phnom Penh to Siem Reap Angkor.

We live about 100 meters from the famous castle Lolei. TCC is a non-profit registered in the government's list of TCC for poor children homeless and orphaned family from poverty in Siem Reap. Orphanage / CENTER was founded in 2016 and is a non-profit non-government schools enrolled. At the TCC,

we believe that everyone is equal and each person must get a chance to have a better way of life. As you get a chance and have been successful because of the support, I know how precious opportunity.

The purpose of our program is to give these vulnerable children the same opportunity to contribute and help them in their efforts. I started on June 30, 2016, and I hope that the Centre has to be big enough to teach up to 50 students.

The schedule is working 5 days per week and 7 hours per day from Monday to Friday on the morning at ( 8: 00 AM - 11:00 AM ) and ending in the afternoon ( 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM ). We have many things for volunteer work as to teach ( English, computer skills, traditional Khmer dancing, music instrument, building, drawing, painting, gardening and cleaning ),..etc.

The project will be completed in the hope of 3 years, but it depends on the amount of donations we can get. There are still children 25-30 were enrolled at CENTER with the program continue for the child's development continues, this is still dependent really on the upside and have mercy on the hearts of the visitors provided a transit food, clothing, school day and other basic needs of all.

In our non-government schools, our salaries are not paid, you are a volunteer, and the people who live here will get the board and help them annually.

Adults and children to share the basic kinds of life, but equally healthy and eat the same simple but nutritious. We have met the basic rights to food, shelter, protection and education for children 25-30 were living with us, but we just can not do it by providing generous assistance.

We welcome volunteers who want to visit and learn more about our children, and we also rely on the aid and financial assistance.

Donations can be targeted specifically to the needs of children first son by way of support. Currently we have some children as part of a plan to support our children and looking to expand in order to allow more of our children to benefit from this.

We are looking the sponsor from you for the running costs of the project by making things difficult. So we rely on tourists to provide help and assistance in any ways for TCC what you can do.

The TCC has the accommodation for volunteer to say, this house has four bedrooms (equipped with mosquito nets), one toilets and shower and a kitchen. For bedding, we provide a bed or a mattress, a blanket and a pillow. There are two fans in the bedrooms and a fan in the kitchen. We are requirement a volunteer to pay for 10 $US dollars per night for sharing room to pay for the electricity bill, food and wi-fi. The cook for volunteer 3 meals a day ( breakfast, lunch & dinner); this is real traditional Cambodian food that we cook for the kids in the orphanage as well. Also we will ask all volunteers to donate some money for feeding the children and raise money to build the project at TCC..

We have a good service for transportation, when volunteer arrive by plane to Siem Reap we can arrange for a tuk-tuk driver to collect the volunteer for a fee of $10 US dollars. We can also arrange a collection if arriving by bus. Our tuk-tuk driver is also able to drop and collect volunteer for trips into Siem Reap during the weekends and evenings.
